In May 2008, IMRIS—whose intra-operative MRI machines were covered in the Winter 2008 issue of the Watch—sold a unit to the University of Virginia Health System. Around the same time, IMRIS announced a one-sixth or 17% revenue increase over the previous year for the end of its first quarter, and opened new sales offices in Australia and Belgium.
